bazza j and harper

breakfast with barry (aka bazza j) and harper

i've known barry j holmes for 27yrs: we were at N.E.S.C.O.T together when i went back to finish my BTEC in photography, after i'd dropped out the same time as miles better, sean ellis and chris floyd.

27yrs ago me and barry were bezza mates but until recently, i hadn't spoken to him for 13yrs

to say this was an under-sight on my part would be an under-statement.

it's much longer story, not to be told here, but it has something to do with my not too long passed, out-of-control EGO and other issues i've had and have been dealing with, in therapy for the last 18 months

long story short then: i've been trying to right wrongs and me and bazza j are reunited as friends.

just in time to meet his 7 month old baby harper

drove east leaving LA to see chris (campion) and masumi in pioneer town (which is SO not a town)

its easy to forget how VAST and empty the rest of america is...when you leave a city heading inland, it's easy to remember

quite jealous of these two nomads being able to live (and write) anywhere in the world.

they've lived in some pretty cool places.

but this one is EPIC and now they've got a dog, they'll be staying stateside for a while

apparently there was a native american indian legend that if this rock would crack in half, the world would end.
only a little bit carved off so we could be alright

after giant rock, we drove into joshua tree national park

where i paid obligatory homage to anton corjbin

back for japanese steak salad and asparagus.

could stay awake longer than i needed to for jacking up in my stomach again.

wish i could have done a little more walking today: my crutches and leg are really starting to piss me off
