hedge cutting the suckers sprouting out the bottom of the pollarded limes, i managed to locate a newly formed wasps' nest.
the wasps took offense (much like the tigers yesterday)
i got stung 5 times on my left arm before i realised what was happening and bolted, screaming 'aaaargh wasps swarming'
(i'm a little over paranoid about small flying things after i was caught in a swarm of hornets as a kid)
didn't think the stings were too bad but subsequently they've swollen up: my arm puffy and pink with sunburnt burn going on.
returned to wasp nest with a pot of petrol and blew the fuckers up.
there are no more wasps and there is no more wasp nest.
not being a jane budhist, this sits well with me: i hate wasps
