sons took train on their ownsomes to laaandon, for a weekend away with Ali and Emma, so worked at home in peace and quiet

spent an hour cleaning one of twenty panes of glass with a mystery liquid neil kindly brought round (gunk driveway cleaner)

some of the glass just WON'T clean at all: have been scouring the internet trying to find a solution (literally)

but hundreds of years of railway soot and neglect may have destroyed this window glass forever.

in the evening, accidentally stumbled upon 'the midsummer feast' in town

as we cycled past for a cocktail (or two) at the creek which was DELIGHTFUL: just the sounds of birds down there
