this happened yesterday at about 2pm

my shutters were open: i could have easily looked out the window at the time.

this fella played it very casual: like he was meant to be in our front yard, stealing our basement window covers.

we have overt cameras ('visible' or 'obvious' for the stupid) and covert cameras (aka 'hidden' for the stupid) and FYI they also film in the dark

there's also a town operated CCTV right on the corner where this guy parked up.

for the record, i would just like to point out we don't have anything worth stealing inside our house: all our money went on tuck-pointing the outside of this house, and windows, and the roof tiles etc...

also for the record, the basement windows look inviting but they have solid bars on the inside

police now have all the multi-angle, high-definition videos and stills

hope it was worth it: scrap value for these metal covers is about 90p each x4

for me to replace them is about £400

good job
